Post Capital partners is a growing and successful business looking to bring new people on who can support new deals. 

THE PORTFOLIO COMPANY 

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in New York, Post Capital Partners is a dynamic player in the investment landscape. With a skilled team of 6, they manage three committed funds, with Fund 3 boasting an impressive $100 million in capital. Currently, they are on the brink of launching our fourth fund, targeting a substantial $150 million, having already secured over $100 million. This year, they are determined to raise the remaining $50 million. Their investment strategy is rooted in the belief that quality senior management is paramount to a company’s success. They collaborate with both established management running successful enterprises and visionary executives seeking their next challenge. Their investment focus extends across a diverse range of industries, such as Business Services, Environmental and Industrial Services, Security Services, Education Services, Healthcare Services, Data/Information Services, Financial/Information Services, Niche Manufacturing and Distribution, and Transportation & Logistics, primarily within the United States and Canada.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 8 years work experience (at least 4 years with a private equity firm).
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university with strong GPA and strong SAT/ACT scores
  • Strong work ethic and initiative – self starter
  • Meaningful experience executing closed transactions and working with portfolio companies
  • Ability to multitask and work with multiple people
  • Strong financial modeling, accounting and due diligence skills
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of different business models
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating internally as well as with advisors, management teams and financing sources
  • Experience managing and training junior staff a plus

WHY RAW SELECTION 

The firm had a new fund to deploy and they couldn’t find someone with strong enough deal experience and interpersonal skills to bring into the team. They came to Raw Selection to help with the growth of their business as they needed a new Vice President quickly.

The main challenge for this search was finding someone with thesis creation experience, that wanted to move to a smaller fund and  had completed several deals

To overcome this, we mapped the entire market and followed our 15 step-process.

THE PROCESS

Raw Selection commences every search by discussing and understanding the full search requirement and brief. Oliver Burns, Associate at Raw Selection, sourced and meticulously narrowed down each candidate to find an excellent shortlist that matched not only the requirements of the search but also matched the culture.

Raw Selection followed our extensive 15-step search process, identifying 60 potential profiles which were fully evaluated and then cut down to a shortlist of 4, all of whom had been fully interviewed and measured for culture fit.

Raw Selection identified an exceptional individual, Logan Vorwerk, who was subsequently hired for the role.
