For the right person, this starts as a General Manager role and can quickly evolve into broader multi-site or regional leadership.
The portfolio company already has strong local brand visibility, an established homeowner customer base, and real momentum behind it. The Private Equity firm is backing an aggressive expansion plan that includes launching an additional service line, increasing marketing investment, and integrating further acquisitions already under review. That gives the successful candidate the chance to do more than manage a branch. They will help shape the next stage of market growth.
This is not a “keep it ticking over” role. It is the opportunity to build, professionalise, and scale a much larger residential services operation over time.

A private equity-backed residential services business in Florida, part of a broader $100M+ platform operating across multiple markets and trade categories. The local business today is built around a well-established residential service model with clear scope to add and scale adjacent services.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this role is not just about maintaining the branch. It is about learning the portfolio company’s operating model quickly and then using it to drive growth, stronger execution, and better leadership infrastructure.
Over the first 12–24 months, success will look like:
- Successfully adopting the portfolio company’s operating system, sales approach, pricing discipline, and management cadence
- Building credibility with the team while shifting into a more commercial, sales-led leadership model
- Taking ownership of branch performance across growth, branch economics, people development, and execution
- Launching and scaling the next service line in the market
- Improving manager quality, accountability, and culture
- Preparing the branch to absorb future acquisitions or adjacent market expansion
- Establishing the market as a foundation for broader Florida growth
Longer term, success means scaling the business materially beyond its current size, leading multiple locations or markets, and participating in a significant value creation event as the broader platform grows.
IDEAL BACKGROUND
This role is best suited to a proven operator who already understands residential services and wants a bigger platform opportunity.
The ideal candidate will likely have:
- Experience as a General Manager, Regional leader, or senior operator with full P&L responsibility
- Strong residential HVAC experience, ideally within a broader home services environment
- A track record of growing a branch, division, or market rather than simply maintaining it
- Experience leading managers, upgrading team capability, and building a positive culture
- Strong commercial instincts across pricing, conversion, and local market growth
- Comfort operating in a private equity-backed or highly performance-oriented environment
- The adaptability to learn a different operating model and challenge old habits
- A servant-leadership style that develops people while driving accountability
- The ambition and upward mobility to scale with the platform over time
This search is less about title pedigree or corporate polish and more about coachability, commercial leadership, cultural fit, and growth mindset. Additional trade-category exposure is helpful, but the priority is someone who can lead a residential services operation and help scale it through its next stage.
LOCATION
Sarasota / Tampa, Florida
Longer term, as the role expands with market growth and acquisitions, there is scope to step into a broader Florida or regional leadership seat.
COMPENSATION
Base salary: $120,000 – $200,000
Bonus: 50%
