Chief Financial Officer

PE-Backed Multi-Site Services Platform
Atlanta, Georgia / Florida

THE OPPORTUNITY

An opportunity to take ownership of the finance function within a growing private equity-backed multi-site services platform.

The portfolio company is seeking a hands-on CFO to strengthen its residential finance infrastructure, standardise reporting and controls, and create a repeatable model for integrating future acquisitions. The existing CFO has moved into a fractional capacity, creating an opportunity for a leader who enjoys building rather than maintaining.

Working closely with executive leadership and The Private Equity firm, the successful candidate will improve financial visibility, support operational decision-making and help prepare the platform for its next phase of growth and eventual exit.

THE COMPANY

The portfolio company is a private equity-backed services platform generating $120M+ in revenue, with operations across residential and business-to-business field services.

Its residential operations span multiple brands and locations across Georgia and Florida. The broader offering includes general home and property services, with an expanding multi-site footprint.

The Private Equity firm is supporting organic growth and a buy-and-build strategy, with larger acquisitions and smaller add-ons expected to remain important. The anticipated exit horizon is approximately 18–36 months.

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape a finance function and help scale a growing platform, rather than inherit a finished operating model.

For the right person, the opportunity includes:

  • Ownership of finance transformation across multiple residential businesses
  • Meaningful autonomy to assess, build and develop the finance team
  • Direct exposure to The Private Equity firm, lenders and executive leadership
  • Involvement in acquisition integration, diligence and exit preparation
  • Equity participation and an opportunity to create measurable value
  • The chance to establish repeatable systems and processes that support future growth

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Over the first 12 months, success will look like:

  • Stabilising and strengthening the residential finance organisation
  • Standardising accounting procedures and financial controls across locations
  • Aligning field-service workflows with the core accounting and reporting platform
  • Implementing robust inventory and warranty accounting processes
  • Improving reporting accuracy, transparency and management confidence in the numbers
  • Bringing month-end close toward 10–15 days, with a longer-term 10-day ambition
  • Assessing, developing and upgrading the team where required
  • Establishing a repeatable post-acquisition finance integration playbook
  • Partnering effectively with general managers to improve operational performance

Longer-term success means creating a scalable finance function that enables the portfolio company to grow without leadership continually having to investigate or validate financial information.

IDEAL BACKGROUND

Your background will include:

  • Finance leadership experience in a private equity-backed, multi-location services business
  • Previous CFO experience, or a strong VP Finance / Corporate Controller ready to step up
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceTitan and strong technical accounting capability
  • Knowledge of multi-entity consolidation, accruals, audits, financial reporting, inventory and warranty accounting
  • Completion of at least two to three add-on integrations, including common systems and reporting
  • Experience with lender reporting and debt covenant calculations
  • The ability to partner with operational leaders and build a high-performing finance team
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and willingness to work in the detail

Experience with NetSuite, residential field services, operational improvement and exit preparation is advantageous. A CPA qualification is preferred.

LOCATION

Atlanta, Georgia, USA (preferred). Florida-based candidates will also be considered.

Travel across the Georgia and Florida operating footprint will be required. Relocation assistance is available.

COMPENSATION

  • Base salary: $225,000 – $275,000
  • Bonus: 50%
  • Equity: Yes
  • 401(k): Yes
  • Healthcare: Yes

There is flexibility in the package for an exceptional candidate.
