THE OPPORTUNITY
A Private Equity-backed commercial services platform is seeking a CFO to partner with its CEO through a period of rapid organic and acquisition-led growth. The CFO will professionalise the finance function, establish the infrastructure required to support scale, lead finance through M&A and integration, and become the financial face of the organisation with its board, investors, lenders and external advisors.
THE COMPANY
The portfolio company is a $100M+ revenue commercial services platform operating across electrical, mechanical and related services. The business serves commercial and residential markets and has a strong reputation with major customers. It is pursuing significant organic and acquisition-led expansion in a highly fragmented market.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
The CFO will create the financial platform required to support the company's ambitious growth strategy.
- Build scalable finance, reporting and control infrastructure to support continued growth
- Successfully integrate acquisitions with varying levels of financial sophistication
- Support the platform's ambition to reach $500M in revenue
- Help position the business to grow toward $35M–$40M in EBITDA
IDEAL BACKGROUND
Your background will include:
- CFO or senior number-two finance leadership experience in a Private Equity-backed business
- 10+ years leading finance, with experience completing an exit
- M&A, acquisition integration, target assessment and investment-bank selection experience
- Commercial or residential services experience, with HVAC or electrical exposure preferred but not essential
LOCATION
St. Louis, MO. The preference is for the CFO to be on the ground and spend meaningful face-to-face time with the CEO. Remote may be considered for an exceptional individual.
COMPENSATION
- Base salary: $250,000–$300,000
- Bonus: 30%
- Equity: 0.75–1.25
- Benefits: 401(k) and healthcare
