This portfolio company provides design, engineering, installation, and servicing of fire safety systems including sprinkler systems, alarms, and inspections. Operating in Texas and Arkansas, it primarily serves commercial clients such as facilities, healthcare, municipalities, hospitality, multi-family housing, retail, and industrial sectors predominantly public contracts. The company employs approximately 120 staff across its 21,000 sq ft offices and warehouse facilities. 

The business has a high customer retention rate of 92% and over 83% of revenue is concentrated in Dallas.

THE PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM

The Private Equity firm pursues buy-and-build strategies targeting services-based businesses, leveraging operational improvements and strategic acquisitions. Known for supporting portfolio leadership while encouraging autonomy, the firm provides strategic input and access to capital for growth initiatives. The sponsor's typical involvement includes milestone check-ins, board participation, and capital support for expansion and integration activities. What does success look like in this role?

  • Establish financial leadership and build a best-in-class finance function.

  • Drive professionalization across systems, processes, and reporting.

THE ROLE

The CFO will be responsible for:

  • Leading financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

  • Implementing an ERP system and enhancing financial controls.

  • Supporting M&A from due diligence to integration.

  • Partnering with the CEO to drive performance and operational strategy.

  • Leading finance, risk management, IT, and office administration functions.

  • Comfortable working across blue- and white-collar environments.
